Each year the CAES students participate in outreach opportunities in our local community and sometimes even outside the country. The class of 2019 joined a Maranatha mission trip to Costa Rica. During Spring Break, the students, some teachers, and other sponsors helped build two new classrooms for the Guayabo Primary School in Guayabo, Costa Rica. In addition, they painted two nearby churches and led a VBS program for the local children. (See pg. 7 of the Volunteer Magazine.)

During Spring break of 2025, twenty-nine students and parents went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. They completed building a church and connected with a local school, holding a VBS program for the neighborhood children.

The school playground was in great disrepair with broken play equipment and barbed wire all through the area where the children play.

On returning to the states, our students raised money that was used to improve the playground. Now the children can play in safety.

Other community service events of the year include Children’s Hunger Fund packing and Community Christmas Shoppe collection. The students enjoy making a difference in the lives of others for God!

Our kindergarten and first grade students, along with their older buddies in 5th and 6th grade, picked up trash at the top of Academy Drive. Their goal is to encourage our local community to keep our land and open areas pristine.

Some of our students also visit a retirement home several times throughout the year. It is a great connection for both old and young, talking together, playing games, and singing songs. All who participate are blessed!
