Welcome to Conejo Adventist Preschool – CAP for short! Visit our official website.
Conejo Adventist Preschool is a private, Christian preschool located on the campus of Conejo Adventist Elementary School. Since its opening in 2008, CAP has provided a safe, nurturing, Christian environment for children two to six years of age.
We believe that children should be given a solid foundation in the basic areas of learning through play and structured activities. It is the objective of our school to show the love of Jesus Christ to each of the children through daily interactions and activities.
Much more than a preschool, our program provides a rich, nurturing environment for your child's spiritual, cognitive, emotional, and physical growth. Here, learning is fun, children are respected, and teachers work in partnership with families to give their child a positive learning environment.
Our school is part of the world-wide Seventh-day Adventist school network. The Seventh-day Adventist educational system includes elementary and high schools, colleges and universities in countries around the globe.
CAP offers different programs to cater to the growing needs of families.
The following programs are offered in 2, 3, and 5 days;
Half Day Program: 8:00 am-12:00 pm
Full Day Program: 7:30 am- 3:30 pm

OUR PROGRAM
Preschoolers
For preschoolers, ages 2 through 4 years old, the program emphasizes age-appropriate activities and experiences that will enhance spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development. We strive to help each child develop a healthy self-concept. Every child's creativity and individuality are encouraged and respected.
Pre-Kindergarteners
This class works toward kindergarten readiness by learning to: count to ten; cut with scissors; trace basic shapes; speak understandably; identify some alphabet letters; recognize rhyming sounds; listen to stories without interrupting; button shirts, pants, coats and zip up zippers; sort similar objects by color, size and shape; look at pictures and then tell stories; understand actions have both causes and effects; and recognize groups of one, two, three, four, and five objects. Children are encouraged to be independent, capable, and have an eagerness to learn.
Children's Schedule
The daily schedule begins with worship, there is indoor and outdoor playtime, teacher-directed learning, art, music, learning centers, creative experiences and story times. Curriculum is based on each child's individual needs.
Snacks and Meals
All snacks and meals served are vegetarian. We offer a hot lunch program, at an additional charge, prepared fresh daily. The children enjoy a healthy variety of food.
OUR CURRICULUM
Our preschool program includes a Christian-based atmosphere with Bible stories, song and prayers. We focus on teaching Christian values, being respectful, and treating others kindly. We work on kindergarten readiness, such as letter recognition, handwriting, colors, numbers, shapes, fine and large motor skills, and social skills.

OUR TEAM
We are commitment to quality Christian childcare and to providing a safe, positive and valuable experience for each child. We have a genuine interest in training and educating young children.
Children learn and grow at their own rate, differ in their intellectual talents and in their physical capabilities. We work along with parents to help each child reach their highest potential.
"I'm in early child care because I enjoy being with children. Seeing your child smile and knowing that I contributed to that experience is most rewarding to me. I'm very blessed to be a part of their lives. To help them grow intellectually, socially and emotionally is a privilege." -Teresa
