What an exciting week for us here at Conejo! Our 7th & 8th grade class was granted permission to be back here with us on campus! Woohoo! The campus has a new energy and volume now that our most seasoned students have joined us again. Seven months is a long time to be away from in-person learning and we are delighted to have them back!
This week we experienced a small reunion for our school and what joy it brings us! As we navigate through our unpredictable world these days, it makes me long even more for our heavenly reunion. Oh, to experience joy filled days that don’t involve county protocols, financial stresses, loss of loved ones, feelings of depression, overwhelming anxiety, stubbed toes, or daily disappointments. Heaven will be a joy that never ends!
I’m thanking God for the little joys we can experience each day while still here on earth though…children’s laughter, fluffy bunnies, fall flowers, magnificent sunsets, foggy mornings, warm cookies, words of affirmation, singing voices, surprise hot beverages (Thank you Schmucker family), not to mention homemade bread hot out of the oven (thank you Enzo), and so much more. I pray we can live in God’s blessings and fully experience joy every day despite what the world throws our way. Live in joy my friends!
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18 NIV
