I’m going to take this moment to send out thanks to everyone who made last week so special. Mrs. Flo is the greatest organizer in the world and on top of that, she is one of the most thoughtful people I know. Thank you, Mrs. Flo, for rallying our families together to create a week of “Suessical” joy and love for our staff. Thank you, Conejo Families, for gifting us joy and love in gift cards, flowers, treats, messages, cards, and support. Giant hugs to you all!
Thank you also to our families who were able to attend Hope for the Journey. We had a nice sized group of parents and we all learned more about effectively connecting with and understanding our kids and people in general. A thought that stuck with me from last year was repeated again in this first session and it is an important reminder for me: Behavior is the result of unmet needs. There is a reason behind behavior (good or bad) and understanding the root of the behavior is essential. My perspective changes when I keep this in mind. So much to learn…
