Well, this week was not a return-to-normal kind of week. We started off with Pajama Day (which I totally forgot about), Career Day, and then a disruption-of-regular-life day. As I write this, we still don’t have power at school, but we have a school. My heart aches for all the families that have lost their homes and the families that are displaced from their homes right now. I rejoice though because as terrible as it is to lose a home, I haven’t heard of any lives lost. People are the most important “things” in our lives and when fires, power outages, and wind, disrupt my life, I can focus on the blessings of everyday “normal” life and the people in my life much easier.
Please continue to keep our displaced Camarillo families, fire fighters and other first responders, and families that have lost their homes in your prayers. Once things settle down, I’m sure some of our school family or people close to us will have some very real needs. If you or someone in your circle of life is in need, please let me know so we can help meet those needs if possible. Be safe Conejo Family! Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. Psalms 28:7 NLT
