I’ve been thinking a lot about our school verse this week. Our pastors have been highlighting different aspects of this verse and giving us some practical takeaways each day. Yesterday, while I was sitting in a meeting, a subject came up that made me think about our verse. Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are…you can fill in the blank. Because you are old, because you are female, because you are male, because you are a Texan, because you are unemployed, because you…
The world is constantly telling us we aren’t enough. You are young, old, rich, poor, popular, unpopular, and on and on. God has a different opinion for us. He says, you are enough for Me. Your circumstances don’t dictate who you are, your actions, what you say, how you live, and how you love, show the world who you are. Hmmm. Am I reflecting God’s purpose for my life? Something to think about. Every day I am an example to at least 100 young people. Who and what do they see when they look at me? Oh boy. I’m overwhelmed just thinking about the number of people I have the opportunity to influence each day. Only with God’s continual grace and mercy can I even begin to make a difference. Thank you God for your love and for believing in me.
