Day three has arrived! Is it getting easier to get up in the morning or more difficult? I think I’m still a little too excited to sleep well but I’m sure by the end of next week, my sleep schedule will be close to adjusted. Hope the same is true for your family as well.
Today, I just want to share how blessed I feel to be at Conejo. Last week, Mrs. Shea led worship at The Place and explained the meaning behind the anthem of the month, Jireh. Jireh means provider and she went on to talk about how her Bible study group had looked at scripture that showed God as our provider even when we aren’t in the ideal situation. He is still providing what we need. Ah, so the anthem was chosen for me this month. Hey, don’t forget God provides what I need. Got it. If you know me, you know tears started to flow from this message and reminder. Following worship music, one of our students gave a short talk. Tears once again for the joy I feel when our kids share their life experiences with others and have the courage to do this in front of a group of people. I composed myself after that but then our student’s dad offered the closing prayer at the end of the service and prayed for all the teachers starting school. I’m tearing up right now just thinking about it. I don’t take my position as principal or teacher lightly and this week I love how God sent me messages of encouragement and affirmation through multiple means…songs at church, students, parents, and two tiny little cards just to name a few. I’m tired but oh so blessed this week to rely on God as my provider.
The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.
