I love how different versions of the Bible can give us new understanding and a different level of connection to verses. Philippians 4:7 was the Verse of the Day on my Bible app and it struck a chord with me so I started looking at different versions of the verse. The final phrase in The Message was so lovely. The description of Christ replacing my worry is a beautiful thought. My worry doesn’t magically disappear, it is replaced with the goodness of God. Beautiful!
While I was contemplating this verse during morning drop-off today, a song came on the radio that also caught my attention, Man of Your Word, by Maverick City Music. If you said it, we believe it. Easier said than done, BUT, I can sing it over and over again until it rings true for me. Fill me with your goodness Lord and replace my worry! You said it, I believe it!
