Love is in the air. Happy Early Valentine’s Day to you! Tomorrow, our 4th Grade class will be hosting a Valentine’s Day Tea for their grandparents and special guests. A lot of planning and thought has gone into this event to allow the students an opportunity to serve others and prepare for their guests. Mr. Fralick hosted this event two years ago as well and I can still hear the gasps of delight when the adults entered the room and the emotional tears when the students performed at the close of the tea. It is a memory the students and adults will carry forever.
Life seems to speed by and taking the time to connect with people and enjoy special moments is so important. I’m sure you have heard the saying that the days are long but the years are short in reference to having children. Now that my children are adults, I can tell you it is very true. Set aside the 20 minutes at bedtime to read stories or play a game or talk about your day. Spend an afternoon at the park or on a hike or visiting with grandma. Intentionally plan events and times to just be with your family, you won’t ever regret it.
Wishing you all a Happy Valentine’s Day and sweet memories of time spent with your family and friends.
Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Corinthians 16:14 ESV
