Welcome to February! We are starting the month with rain to refresh our ground and an evening to celebrate the strengths of our kids. Tonight, thirteen brave students will take the stage and perform a variety of acts for us. Just to warn you, the final act brought me to tears at rehearsal…but it is me, so tears aren’t unusual. Hopefully, you can join our performers and families tonight to encourage these students to continue to share their talents and strengths with others. God has gifted all of us with different abilities and what a joy it is to realize those abilities and grow them! Let’s shower our kids with the confidence to boldly bless others with their talents not just on the stage but in every area of life.
In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.
